Bernstorff Slot

Jægersborg Alle 93, Gentofte

About venue

Bernstorf Castle was one of the first buildings in neoclassical style - not only in Denmark, but throughout Europe. It was originally built as a summer residence for Count Bernstorff. It only became a castle when the then Crown Prince Christian VIII bought it. The royal family used the castle as a "summer residence" until 1939, when the Emergency Management Agency took over the buildings for the training of its commanders. Until 2009, the castle was a "closed" educational facility. It was then converted into a hotel and conference center and today also hosts many public and public events.
