Carlsberg Akademi

H.C. Andersens Boulevard 35, København

About venue

Then in 1846 J.C. Jacobsen bought a well-situated piece of land in Valby Bakke, west of central Copenhagen, and built his Carlsberg brewery. Over the next few years he built a large house and a wonderful garden for himself and his family in the middle of the Carlsberg industrial estate. The decoration of the house is inspired by antiquity and the entire architectural and garden complex was built between 1847 and 1878, when the magnificent "Pompeii" hall was completed.

Carlsberg Academy can be booked for scientific conferences, receptions and research-related purposes.
