Signesminde Kro

Viborgvej 145, Silkeborg

About venue

Signesminde Kro was originally an agricultural property.
In 1830, coffee and cakes are sold to passers-by. Later, the inn developed into a real inn and got its first name "Rødekro" around 1900. It got its current name in the 1930s, after the chromesmith Signe. In 1979, the entire hotel burned down, leaving only the old barn. In 1980, the inn was rebuilt again in the old-fashioned style, but it was not a true copy of the old inn. There are many old photos of the inn at different ages in the inn.
Since then, most inns have continued to modernize while maintaining the classic style of the old inns.
